our story
Hi there, I'm Sam, the human behind JournalJuice. I know you're probably busy and I don't wanna bore you with my potentially long-winded story π΅πΌ. So let me save you some time. You can check out *just* the parts of our story you're curious about below π

π€·πΌββοΈ Why's it called JournalJuice?
Originally, I had the bright idea to call it Journal Jedi. But I think the lawyers from Star Wars π« might have an issue with that.
So JournalJuice it is. As you can tell, I like the alliteration. Has a nice ring to it, don't cha think?
But no, there really isn't any deep inspirational meaning behind it....if that's what you're wondering.
It's just cute. Like one those silly tattoos you get on a fun night out π, heh.
π€ Why did you create JournalJuice?
Well, JournalJuice was born out of my passion for journaling, cooking up some creative mischief, and of course - monehhh π.
(Hey, I'm just a girl like you. Tryna pay my bills πΈ, fund my boba addictionπ§, and one day buy a yacht π₯οΈ.)
π€·πΎββοΈ So what's the mission forreal?
Glad you asked, cuz there are actually 2οΈβ£.
The official mission: To create digital journals and stationery to put a smileπ on your face. Or at least, make the bad day you're having feel a little less crappyπ©.
The low-key #iykyk mission: To try to take over the world π...one journal at a time.
(Watch.This.Space. π)
π§ Are you some journaling expert or guru or something?
Nope.
I'm just a π€ nerd who likes to obsess over things I'm curious about.
I'm definitely *not* some Expert Journal Master Sensei π₯ who has journaled every single day for over a century.
In fact, I actually struggle with journaling consistently. I mean it can be tough...cuz there are chores and responsibilities, y'know.
But I've realised when *I do* journal it's been helpful. Maybe not mind-blowing, earth-shattering, rawks-my-world kinda helpful, but still...pretty damn helpful.
So far, the biggest thing journaling has helped me with is β¨self-awarenessβ¨. By looking back and reading the things I've written down in the past, I've developed a better sense of who I am.
It's helped me to peel back the layers of myself (cuz I'm such an onion π§ ). And sometimes it's revealed layers that have surprised me (love those surprises π).
Also, in a world where every auntie & uncle, every friend & acquaintance, every boss & colleague, and every internet "therapist" & "guru" seems to have a πΆοΈ hot take of what I should do & say, or how I should act & be - journaling has become an important reminder to listen to my own voice.
It's become an important tool β to help me explore my inner self and to discover what I truly value. This helps me to never forget who I am, to walk my own path, and to start living life on my own terms (which I can guarantee is way more fun than living life based on the expectations of others).
And as of right now, I know that I'm still barely scratching the surface with journaling.
So I'm still a work-in-progress...on a journey to journal more and to journal better.
(Oh btw, you're invited to come along for the ππ»ββοΈ ride.)
π€·π»ββοΈ Do you look anything like your avatar?
π―% spitting image.
It's literally like looking in the mirror.
(Aside from the little balls that my avatar has for hands, we're practically the same person...cute π as can be.)
π€¨ There seems to be an excessive use of emojis going on here?
Yup. I am That Girl.
Sorry not sorry. ππ»ββοΈππ π»πππ»ββοΈππ π»πππ»ββοΈππ π»π
π€·π½ββοΈ Do you think journaling *really* can help me?
π― Honey, I do. I really do.
Now to be clear, I don't actually know who you are or exactly what you're going through.
But I do believe that everyone could *really* use some personal time to pen their thoughts and feelings down, take a moment to pause and reflect, as the world spins madly on...
So if you're still on the fence, then I hope you just go for it. I hope you do this journaling thing. Whether it's in our journals or on the back of a napkin.
I hope you start and I hope you never stop.
βπΌ+β€οΈ,
Sam
